"I started in the industry as a temp in the referral department of a small pain management practice and I spent my first year in healthcare learning every position that I could in the clinic. My scope expanded to coordinating the operations at a nearby neurological institute. Honestly, I was quickly enamored with healthcare. I became a certified first responder, went back to school to learn compliance and coding, I started managing practices and collaborating with MGMA, HIMSS and CMS. I took several board positions and participated in committees and work-groups to drive positive, impactful change in the industry.

 

Eventually, I found my niche in improving revenues, directing practice policy, compliance and strategic goals.  I started ITS Healthcare, LLC because the first physician I ever worked for once said to me, "I went to school to become a doctor, not a business manager. I need help working outside of the exam room".  That always stuck with me and it began to drive me as well.

 

At ITSH, we don't just help provide structure and support practices. We also help them think outside the box to create unconventional methods of achieving patient engagement and quality improvement, all while improving profit margins.

 

The goal is to take care of the whole physician or facility, for the betterment of his/her whole patient base."
